Laberge is a big believer in “playing it forward”. When she was twelve years old Laberge became very sick with a rare tumour. Her family could not afford the expenses involved with getting her to Toronto where the specialized care was required. The Shriners organization heard about Laberge’s condition and financial restraints. They facilitated the travel for her and two of her family members to Toronto so Laberge could receive the life saving surgery. 

 

Nancy is extremely grateful for the Shriners care and support. Today Nancy raises money for the organization by donating a portion of her CD sales, including her holiday single "Holy Moly Christmas", and volunteers her time by performing at Shriner events.
